The Trailblazers will be hosting a mission of environmental service and recreation to beautiful Manatee Springs, Florida. With a desire to cherish existing state parks, we invite you to join our expedition. Begin your Spring Break with meaningful acts of service coupled with exciting outdoor pastimes.
From our departure on Saturday, March 18th until our return on Tuesday, the 21st, you and a dozen or so of your fellow yellow jackets will explore and assist the clear, refreshing waters and surrounding hardwood wetlands of this northwest Florida region.
If you choose to join us, you will be providing an important helping hand in maintaining the ecosystem’s beauty and health. After we complete our service effort, we will indulge in some of the recreational activities the domain offers. With mask and snorkel, we will explore the sparkling waters, and from the dry comfort of hiking trails and canoes, we will appreciate these streams beneath the cypress trees.
The trip participants will camp on park grounds where we will pitch tents, prepare food, and enjoy one another’s company. The campsite offers hot showers, plumbing, and electricity.
The trip cost is $120. This cost of the trip includes membership fee, food, transportation, recreation, shelter, and a T-shirt!
If you have a car and volunteer to drive, you will receive a 25% discount.
