Join the Trailblazers Saturday, October 28th from 7:30am-4:30pm at the historic Franklin Delano Roosevelt State Park in Warm Springs, GA. We will be volunteering to join in on their trail cleanup session. We will be working on only a portion of their 42 miles of beautiful trails! After that, we will have a bit of fun geocaching at the park and then head back to campus.
We will be meeting at 7:30am Saturday the 28th at the Northeast corner of Tech Green, right by the lower entrance to the CULC. We will depart by 8am. The park is 90min (roughly 80 miles) from the school, so we will arrive around 9:30am. The clean-up day at FDR park starts at 10am and ends at 1pm. Once it ends, we will have lunch. Snacks will be provided throughout the day, however please bring your own lunch. Once lunch is over, we will split off into groups for a geocaching competition for about an hour. Once we’ve completed that, we will leave for main campus around 3pm and arrive back around 4:30pm.
We would appreciate anyone willing to drive to please do so. Drivers get fully reimbursed for gas.
Cost is $8.
